Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Thank you for using Rezzaux! We built it to help you turn scattered contacts into relationships you actually maintain. These Terms of Service keep the ship afloat for everyone.
When we say “Rezzaux,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us,” we mean the Rezzaux website and application at this domain, operated by its founders. When we say “Services,” we mean that website and application. When we say “you,” we mean anyone who owns a Rezzaux account.
We may update these Terms in the future. Whenever we make a significant change, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and take appropriate steps to notify account holders. When you use the Services, now or in the future, you are agreeing to the latest Terms. If we do not exercise or enforce a right or provision of the Terms at some point, that does not mean we are waiving it. These Terms contain a limitation of our liability. If you violate the Terms, we may terminate your account.
Account terms
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Two-factor authentication is available in your profile and we recommend turning it on. Rezzaux cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
- You are responsible for all content posted to and activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be a human, and at least 13 years old. Accounts registered by bots or other automated methods are not permitted.
- You may not use the Services for any unlawful purpose, to harass or harm others, or to store content you have no right to store. Don’t scrape or bulk-collect other people’s data into Rezzaux, and don’t attempt to access accounts or data that aren’t yours.
Information about other people
A rolodex is, by its nature, a record of other people. Contacts, notes and call logs are private to your account and no other member can read them — but the people in them did not sign up for Rezzaux, so the responsibility for that information is yours.
- Only record information you are entitled to hold, and that you obtained fairly — from the person, from something they published, or from an introduction. Bulk import is limited to your own contacts export from Google Contacts or LinkedIn for this reason.
- Keep it accurate and proportionate. Notes about a conversation are what Rezzaux is for; sensitive personal details about someone are not.
- If someone asks you to stop keeping a record of them, delete their contact. You can do this yourself at any time, and it removes their details from the Services.
- Depending on where you and your contacts live, data protection law may place obligations on you directly as the person deciding what to record. We provide the tool; complying with those obligations is your responsibility.
Community content and comments
Some parts of Rezzaux are shared. Messages you post in a community, reactions you leave on them, and comments you write on articles are visible to other members and are attributed to your name. Your interactions, contacts and notes are never shown to anyone else — the community feed reports only that you logged something and what type it was. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what other members can and cannot see.
- Post as though the room can hear you, because it can. Anything you write in a community or a comment thread should be something you are willing to have other members read and quote.
- No harassment, hate, threats, spam, advertising, or content that is unlawful or infringes someone else’s rights. Don’t post other people’s personal information.
- Posting is rate-limited to keep the feed usable. Don’t work around those limits with automation.
- You may delete your own posts and comments, and a community administrator or we may remove any of them at our discretion. Deleting removes content from the Services going forward; it cannot un-see it for members who already read it or undo a screenshot someone took.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You give us and the members of that community a license to display it there for as long as it is posted.
Free service
Rezzaux is currently free to use, and it is really free: we do not ask for your credit card and we do not sell your data. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will give you at least 30 days notice via the email address on your account before any charge applies to you, and you’ll always be able to export your data and close your account instead.
Cancellation and termination
- To cancel your account, email us at rezzaux@gmail.com from the address on your account, and we’ll take care of it. If you want a copy of your data first, ask in the same email.
- Upon cancellation, your content becomes inaccessible immediately, is permanently deleted from active systems within 30 days, and is permanently deleted from backups within 60 days after that. We cannot recover this information once it has been permanently deleted.
- We have the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Services for any reason at any time, including violation of these Terms. Termination results in the deletion of your account and the forfeiture of all content in it.
- Verbal, physical, written, or other abuse (including threats of abuse or retribution) directed at anyone operating Rezzaux will result in immediate account termination.
Modifications to the Services
Rezzaux is a young product, actively evolving. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the Services with or without notice. We’ll do our best to communicate changes that affect your data or your ability to use the product.
Uptime, security, and privacy
- Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. We provide the Services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not offer a service-level agreement, but we take the reliability of the product seriously.
- We take measures to protect and secure your data through backups, encryption in transit and at rest, and database-level access rules that isolate each account’s data.
- When you use the Services, you entrust us with your data. You agree that Rezzaux may process your data as described in our Privacy Policy and for no other purpose. We as humans can access your data only: to help with a support request you make (with your consent); on the rare occasion an automated process fails and requires manual intervention; to safeguard the security of the Services; or to the extent required by applicable law.
- We use third-party vendors to provide the infrastructure required to run the Services — currently Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (contact-form email delivery).
Copyright and content ownership
- All content posted to the Services must comply with U.S. copyright law.
- You give us a limited license to use your content solely in order to provide the Services to you. We claim no ownership rights over it: everything you put into Rezzaux remains yours.
- We do not pre-screen content, but we reserve the right (though not the obligation) in our sole discretion to refuse or remove any content that is available via the Services.
- Rezzaux owns all right, title, and interest in and to the Services themselves, including all intellectual property rights. You may not duplicate, copy, or reuse any portion of the design or code, or use the Rezzaux name or logo, without our express written permission.
Features and bugs
We design the Services with care, but there is no such thing as software that pleases everybody or is entirely free of bugs. We make no guarantees that the Services will meet your specific requirements or expectations, and we don’t guarantee completely error-free operation. We track reported bugs and prioritize any related to security or privacy.
Liability
We mention liability throughout these Terms, but to put it all in one section:
You expressly understand and agree that Rezzaux shall not be liable, in law or in equity, to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, lost profits, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses (even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages), resulting from: (i) the use or the inability to use the Services; (ii) unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; (iii) statements or conduct of any third party on the Services; (iv) or any other matter relating to these Terms or the Services, whether as a breach of contract, tort (including negligence whether active or passive), or any other theory of liability.
In other words: choosing to use the Services means you are making a bet on us. We do our best to deserve it. If you have a question about any of these Terms, email rezzaux@gmail.com.
